Abdul Ghani Shakhashiro is a seasoned expert with over 30 years of experience in the environmental, pharmaceutical, food, and nuclear industries. His career spans quality control, quality management systems, and the production of certified reference materials, making him a distinguished leader in his field.
For two decades, Abdul worked with Canadian and international organizations, focusing on implementing and auditing quality management systems. He spent several years leading the Office of Analytical Quality Control Services (AQCS) at the Seibersdorf Laboratories of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Austria. In this role, he managed the preparation and production of certified reference materials for organic compounds, trace elements, and radionuclides, and organized global proficiency testing programs that drew participation from over 400 laboratories worldwide, enhancing analytical performance across the scientific community.
Abdul has been extensively involved in regional projects to implement and audit integrated quality management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 17025, across 15 countries in Latin America and the Middle East. His expertise in quality systems has helped organizations improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with international standards.
Since 2013, Abdul has served as the Director of Proficiency Testing at IARMA Limited’s Vienna office, continuing to deliver world-class solutions in quality assurance and analytical performance.
