Paul Doherty is a highly experienced professional with a distinguished career in both the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). A graduate of the University of the Highlands and Islands, Paul holds several prestigious credentials, including European Chemist, Chartered Chemist, Chartered Scientist, and Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He is also a Chartered Quality Professional and a Member of the Institute of Quality Assurance (MIQA). As a QMS Lead Auditor with the International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA), Paul has performed over 1000 external audits.

Paul began his career as a Senior Scientific Officer at UKAEA Dounreay before moving to Vienna in 1997 to join the IAEA, where he served as Head of the Chemical Analyses Unit within the Safeguards Analytical Laboratory at Seibersdorf. In 2004, he founded PDQM Limited, providing professional services across various sectors, including analytical laboratories, the chemical and nuclear industries, and IT. He is also the CEO of IARMA, an organization specializing in proficiency testing services. With over 30 years of experience in training and coaching, Paul is a certified professional auditor and moderator, specializing in audit and management systems.
